Fine Art Prints

Images are printed on museum-quality paper that is made in the United States and carries UK Fine Art Trade Guild Certification.

Fine art paper is very different from standard paper. Normal paper is made by crushing timber into pulp. This pulp is then refined to create paper. While great for photocopying, paper made this way is not suitable for fine art reproduction. This is because the wood pulp contains impurities that reduce the lifespan of the print significantly.

Instead of wood pulp, this fine art paper is made from 100% cotton rag. This is literally high grade cotton which has been rolled into an extremely high quality printing paper. It is a 300gsm bright white, matte fine art paper with a luxuriously smooth surface ideal for high resolution photographic imagery. It is able to produce extremely crisp and accurate detail as a result of its leadership in tonal range value, line quality, line contrast, and raggedness.

Images are printed on this paper using the latest K3 Ultrachome inkset from Epson. This ink/paper combination is certified to last 75 years without fading.

Things to keep in mind with archival fine art prints:

  • Cotton Rag papers are an uncoated paper so have a different look and feel to traditional photo papers.
  • Fine art prints ship with an additional 5mm white border (above the size you specified) to assist with handling or framing.

Watermark will be removed prior to printing and prints will be shipped rolled in a mailing tube. Due to the handmade nature of these prints, please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery. Free delivery within Australia.

Quality framing of your Fine Art Print is available for Tasmanian residents upon request.
