So excited! It's been a while in the making but my images of Kooparoona Niara (Great Western Tiers) and other tasty Tasmanian places are now for sale. Images are printed on archival 100% cotton rag fine art paper guaranteed to last 75+ years. You can find out more about my Fine Art Prints here.
Here are a few of my favourites and their stories:
This image was captured at Bastion Cascades, nestled within the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, in the Great Western Tiers. It is a magical place to be with a number of smaller but no less majestic waterfalls nearby. A good place to breathe and just be.
A partially frozen Pine Lake in Tasmania's Central Plateau Conservation Area. This day was so cold, silently crisp and emotive. Flurries of snow floated around us as we walked beneath the Pencil Pines. Tasmania's Pencil Pines (Athrotaxis cupressoides), are generally restricted to sub-alpine areas above 800 m and can reach ages greater than 1200 years.
A trip to Liffey Falls in the Tiers is never wasted. Armed with my macro lens and venturing from the lower carpark, I encountered some brightly coloured fungi growing from the man ferns and rotting logs. I love to focus in on the tiny world that surrounds us, it is so easily overlooked.
